Today I'm reviewing Rocky Mountain Soap Co.'s natural SPF 15 sunscreen and SPF lip balm!

Just in time for the summer months. It can be hard to find a sunscreen that is this healthy for your skin and body. This sunscreen is a natural sunscreen because the active ingredient used is zinc oxide. It will keep harmful UVA and UVB rays from penetrating the skin! It is non-whitening, although it needs a few minutes to fully absorb, so when first applied it will look white.

The way it is formulated makes it feel like a lotion, rather than that undesirable "sunscreen" feeling. It's packed with Shea butter, making it smooth and silky on the skin. It also smells absolutely divine! Like a delicious tropical desert packed with coconut and vanilla. Bonus - it can also be used on your face! Also, since it's 100% natural you may notice the formula turns off-white or brown. This is because the vanilla used oxidizes and changes the colour. If this happens the sunscreen is perfectly fine, no worries to keep using it!

When using it, I found it really lasted on my skin, and I didn't have to constantly reapply it. I can also report that I did not get burned while using this sunscreen, and I reapplied very 2 hours as instructed. You should also reapply after swimming, towelling off, or sweating. The lip balm is formulated with beeswax and coconut oil to keep your lips nourished and has an of SPF 15. For the lip balm, you should reapply every hour when outdoors.

According to Rocky Mountain Soap Co., to get the full SPF protection on the label, you need to apply about 1oz (or a shot glass full) of sunscreen. Studies show that most people don’t use enough!
